OVERVIEW
As part of an elective, I visited Khamir, an organization in Bhuj, Gujarat, where I learned traditional leather craftsmanship from local artisans. This experience led me to design and create my first functional product for personal use.

I traveled around 2600 km from South India to West India for this elective. I chose it because I had never worked with leather before and wanted to create something useful.
I started without a clear idea of what I would make, but with guidance from local artisans, I was able to complete a product within two days as a beginner. It took some time to understand the process and there were moments of confusion, but I was able to work through it and create a finished piece in the end.
OPPORTUNITY
I own a variety of devices, mostly from Apple, which I used to carry individually making them difficult to manage. To solve this, I devised a plan to create a leather organizer that could hold everything together in a single, folder-like format within a set timeframe.
